CEI-LV software is the integrating link between the GE Fanuc CEI-100, CEI-200, CEI-220 (PC, PC/AT), CEI-520A (PCI), CEI-430 (PC/104-Plus), CEI-830 (PMC), CEI-620 (cPCI), CEI-710, CEI-715 (PCMCIA), VME-MIO, MAC, VXI-MIO, MAC, VXI-AIC (VXI) ARINC 429 interfaces and the National Instruments LabVIEW graphical environment. Low-level programming is eliminated by using LabVIEW's G graphical language and the supplied Ge Fanuc VI's (CEI-LV). Users can quickly develop custom, PC/PCI, PCMCIA/VME/VXI-based test and simulation solutions that connect to ARINC 429/575 avionics databuses.
By using CEI-LV, users can rapidly build custom applications to monitor multiple ARINC channels in real-time, filter and time-tag data, create custom displays and pass data to other applications. The CEI-LV product includes complete VI's (Virtual Instruments) that can be used in the LabVIEW environment to provide graphical access to GE Fanuc's extensive API (Application Programming Interface). Users can then create their own interactive VI interfaces to initialize and control the intelligent Condor hardware. A single set of LabVIEW VIs supports the functionality of the PC/AT, VME and VXI boards.
An actual LabVIEW application program is provided that covers board initialization, channel configuration, setup & transmission of multiple transmit messages, configuration & display of multiple receive messages, and engineering unit conversion. The Condor CEI-LV VI example provides a rapid jump-start for customized user application programming with LabVIEW.
